X-Rays
What Is X-Ray?
Digital X-ray is a fast, convenient, and accurate way to help physicians see if the structures inside your body are broken or damaged. If you have fractured bones, torn or ruptured ligaments and tendons, or damage to various joints, an X-ray can identify it. X-rays can also be used to identify arthritis, osteoporosis, and other musculoskeletal conditions, as well as track the healing process.
X-Ray Services at Atlantic Orthopaedics
We offer affordable X-Ray services onsite at our clinics in Portsmouth, NH, and York, ME. Our Sports Medicine Teams, General Orthopedists, and Orthopedic Surgeons are all able to order X-Rays and will always read and discuss your X-Ray results with you to help you determine the best treatment plan for your injury and recovery. If your injury requires more advanced imaging (like MRI) to diagnose, or you need Physical or Occupational Therapy to continue your healing, we are able to refer you to our trusted partners in health at Shields MRI and ProCare Physical Therapy. If your injury requires surgery, we are able to provide that, too.
