We are seeking Medical Assistant with Orthopedic experience for our expanding practice!

In this position you will be performing both clinical and clerical tasks, under the direct supervision of the Orthopedic Clinical Manager, Physicians and Physician Assistants.

Clinical duties include: Orthopedic wound care, casting, splinting, taking and recording medical histories in the EHR system, preparing patients for examination, cast and/or suture and staple removal, drawing up medications for administration by the physicians or PA’s.

Clerical responsibilities include: scheduling appointments, telephone triage, e-prescribing prescriptions, faxing prior authorizations, referrals, scanning, and maintaining EHR.

Skills and abilities: Experience in orthopedic care, Casting & Splinting Skills along with Wound Care Professional attitude, appearance, customer service skills, attention to detail and knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Must have the ability to multi-task along with excellent written and verbal communication skills both written and verbal.

Atlantic Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine has an immediate openings fo ra full time receptionist in our York Maine Medical Office. This position may also require hours in the Portsmouth location if needed.

The Medical Receptionist position is responsible for providing quality patient service, managing the patient experience as it relates to checking in and out patients, insurance verification, tracking communications, some scheduling, collection and tracking of co-pays, end of day reconciliation and accurate data entry for billing purposes.

The receptionist works closely and in collaboration with the business office to ensure prompt payment. Atlantic Orthopaedics Sports Medicine has created a new position.

The Credentialing Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of the credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging processes for physicians and PA’s as it relates to health insurance plans, hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. They will also maintain up-to-date data for each professional in credentialing databases and online systems. Communicates with providers, healthcare entities and insurance representatives on a regular basis.

Credentialing Duties will include:
· Compiles and maintains company data base consisting of all relevant provider credentialing information

· Completes credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follows-up as needed.

· Tracks license and DEA certificate expirations and initiates renewal in a timely manner

· Maintains provider information in online credentialing portals (CAQH, AIM/Optinet, LexisNexis, etc.)

· Ensures practice demographics are current with health plans, agencies and other entities.

· Tracks Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits and communicates with providers to ensure compliance

· Reports CME’s to state agencies as required

· Maintains confidentiality of provider information.

· Builds relationships with credentialing/licensing personnel at health plans, hospitals and state agencies

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College degree in business or healthcare environment preferred.

Experience: One year of credentialing experience strongly preferred. At least 1 year experience in Medical Billing, Coding and or Accounts Receivable required.

Skills Required :

· Ability to focus for extended periods of time

· Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, letters, memos and emails.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Ability to research and analyze data.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Ability to maintain effective working relationships with providers, peers, and contacts outside the organization.

· Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access) and internet resources.

Schedule: · Day Shift · Monday to Friday

The Clinical Coordination Assistant will provide administrative support to the Surgical and Diagnostic Scheduling Teams.

Responsibilities will include:

*Arrange preop testing for patients scheduled for surgeries

*Confirm times for surgeries for next day and make patients aware of arrival times

*Communicate with outside facilities for any pre-operation testing needs

*Work closely with the Surgical and Diagnostic Coordinators to provide support in administrative needs

*Must be able to multitask, work independently, highly organized and detail oriented.
